Just turned 18, Paisley girl, Lisa Kowalski, has been performing and writing music for four years.
In April 2017, Lisa released her debut EP Free Spirits. This received glowing reviews, worldwide airplay, an appearance on STV and BBC Radio Scotland, and a number of great festival and support slot opportunities.
Songs from the EP were selected for the Fatea UK Acoustic showcase album, helped Lisa win Renfrewshire Live and Unsigned and receive a nomination for Female Artist of the Year by Radio Wigwam. She also made it to the finals of the new Salute Music UK competition and the Radio Clyde ‘Cash for Kids – Jim Diamond Award’. Lisa’s music and her first music video filmed in Paisley in 2017 played a big part in getting Paisley to the final stages of the 2021 UK City of Culture bid. She is now very much part of the the journey continues cause.
Lisa is currently working on her next singles and EP release for 2018. Highlights for the year so far include a headline gig at King Tuts on her 18th birthday in February and a trip to New York in April to sing for Scotland at the ‘New York Tartan Week’.
