About Us
Creative Renfrewshire is a volunteer-managed network that links a diverse group of creative and cultural practitioners from across Renfrewshire. The network offers events, opportunities and activities aimed at connecting, supporting and inspiring a broad spectrum of creative and cultural industry practitioners at various stages in their careers, networks and organisations. By creating event spaces such as networking events, inspirational talks, meet-ups and professional development opportunities, we connect, amplify and celebrate what is happening in the region – sparking new, innovative opportunities that will benefit both creative practitioners and the local area.
We are now looking for a freelance Network Co-ordinator to help expand and strengthen our network over the next 12 months. This post is funded by Creative Scotland. We are looking for someone who views this role as an opportunity to be integral to build and help grow Creative Renfrewshire, and to expand upon this role, seeking methods of continuing this work.
The Role
As Network Co-ordinator, you will:
- Develop and grow the Creative Renfrewshire network and activities.
- Facilitate networking opportunities and events to connect and promote creative practitioners.
- Identify and establish new partnerships, linking grassroots initiatives with strategic organisations.
- Apply for funding and sponsorship to support projects, events and professional development opportunities.
- Promote and guide the Creative Renfrewshire programming group, ensuring a collaborative and community-driven approach.
- Advocate for the role of culture as a key driver of social and community development.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Genuinely passionate about culture and local to the area.
- People-focused.
- A skilled networker and communicator, with experience in partnership development.
- Interested in growing culture from the grassroots.
- Self-motivated, innovative and able to drive forward a vision for culture in Renfrewshire.
This post is a freelance position contracted to 14 hours per week over one year. The rate of pay is £22 per hour.
This post is flexible, with the expectation of attending events and meetings as required.
This is a remote working post, Creative Renfrewshire has no office space, but you will be expected to spend time in Renfrewshire meeting people and organisations IRL.
